Privacy at Brytalearn
You can use every exploration without creating an account or joining the newsletter.
Accounts and sign-in
An account stores your email, an optional name, and your sign-in details. Passwords are stored as protected hashes. When you choose Google, we use Google’s account identifier, verified email and name to sign you in. We do not request access to your Gmail messages or Google Drive.
Email you choose
Account confirmation, welcome, password recovery and security messages help operate your account. The Brytalearn administrator receives a notification when a new account verifies its email. Newsletter subscription is a separate choice, with confirmation and an unsubscribe link. Production email is sent using Brevo; Google handles Google sign-in.
Feedback
Feedback is visible to the team, including the message, the page you identify, your optional reply email and your account identifier if signed in. Please do not include sensitive information. You do not need to leave your name or email to send feedback.
Cookies and local preferences
Essential cookies keep your session and forms secure. An additional short-lived cookie protects Google sign-in. Existing exploration preferences and saved experiments may remain in your browser’s local storage. Signing in does not automatically upload those experiments.
Optional learning analytics
With your permission, we use Mixpanel to understand which lessons people find, which experiments they try, and whether audio, quizzes and downloads are useful. Campaign labels in links (UTMs) tell us which newsletters or posts bring people here.
Analytics uses a random browser identifier and campaign attribution for up to 30 days. It is separate from your account. We do not send names, emails, passwords, feedback text, raw search text, saved notes, or sign-in tokens. Search reports contain recognized science terms and matching lesson titles, never the original query. We disable session recording, automatic click capture and IP-based location enrichment.
Declining keeps all lessons available. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Local development and preview hosts never send analytics.
Analytics is disabled in this environment.
Keeping and removing information
You can delete your account from its settings and stop newsletter delivery anytime. We retain a minimal newsletter suppression record to avoid sending unwanted mail. Completed email content is cleared after seven days, delivery records after 90 days, and feedback after 180 days by scheduled housekeeping. Unverified accounts expire after 30 days. Email providers may retain their own delivery records under their service terms.
Deleting an account removes its sign-in sessions and disconnects its feedback from the account. If you need help removing personal information from feedback or an email record, contact support@brytalearn.com.
Learning together
Parents and educators can explore with children without creating an account for the child. Keep children’s personal information out of feedback messages.
